Back in 2022, I dropped into Zombie Survival 2.0 with three friends and a plan that lasted about ninety seconds. I know it is 2026 now, and that limited-time PUBG LABS playlist is long gone from live servers, but I still rate it as one of the sweatiest, silliest, most clutch co-op nights I have ever had. The pitch was simple: ten stages, three minutes each, and a squad of four trying not to become zombie chow. No cap, it sounded easy. Then the first Molotov zombie turned my safe corner into a barbecue.

🧟 The rules that kept us honest
Each stage started with zombies spawning. To move on, we had to kill every zombie OR keep at least one teammate alive until the very end. Once a stage was cleared, the squad got a 20-second break before the next stage. If the whole squad got wiped out, the game ended as a Zombie Dinner. I learned to treat that 20-second break like gold: reload, heal, check inventory, and argue about who bought the wrong item.
The mode was TPP only, 4-man squad only, DBNO disabled, and teamkill disabled. LABS games gave no XP or gameplay rewards, did not show on the Career page or Match History, had no replay support, and zombie kills did not count toward BATTLESTAT. That last bit stung, but the chaos was reward enough. Almost.
💀 Zombies with a nasty glow-up
As the stages went on, we got more zombies, stronger zombies, and special types. Zombie Survival 2.0 added Molotov throwers, Blue Zone Grenade throwers, grenade-in-mouth zombies that could only be killed by headshots, and zombies with C4 attached to their bodies. My first C4 zombie was a proper jump scare. I emptied a mag into its chest, heard beeping, and yelled 'scatter!' like a dad at a fireworks show. The grenade-mouth guys were worse: body shots did nothing, so I had to calm my aim and go for one-taps. Head on a swivel, always.

🪙 Survival Coins and the shopping spree
Killing zombies gave Survival Coins, stored in the inventory with a max of 999. Players could not drop Survival Coins, and if I died and respawned for the next stage, I kept the coins I had before death. That was a nice mercy. The basic starting kit was a Deagle, 60 rounds of .45 ACP, a Level 3 backpack, and one grenade. Everything else came from the inventory shop with Survival Coins. Stronger weapons cost more, so I had to choose between being juiced now or saving for later. I usually chose wrong.
New tactical items changed the game: traps to temporarily stop zombies, sticky traps and sticky chemicals to slow them down, zombie stun grenades, healing chemicals for me and my team, plus damage items like Zombie C4, Can Bombs, Zombie Blue Zone Grenades, Anti-Zombie Chemicals, and Anti-Zombie Table Legs. The table leg was hilarious and useful, which is my favorite combo.

🎯 My stage-by-stage survival cheat sheet
| Phase | What I did | What I should have done |
|---|---|---|
| Early stages | Bought cheap upgrades, felt like a hero | Saved coins for stronger weapons |
| Mid stages | Spammed traps in corridors | Left escape routes for the squad |
| Late stages | Panic-bought healing chemicals | Used healing chemicals before red health |
| Final stage | Screamed 'last one, last one' | Kept my aim steady and checked corners |
Scores were cumulated by taking down zombies, and I could check the current score by opening the world map. My squad's final scores showed after the match. Our scoreboard was less a ranking and more a roast session. 😂
🏆 The Discord event and the 30 Coupons
The event asked players to clear all 10 stages and upload their own Chicken Dinner screenshot to their region's Zombie Survival Discord channel with their PUBG nickname and platform. Every teammate had to capture and upload their own screenshot. The nickname had to be highlighted, one entry per account, event period only. The reward was 30 Contraband Coupons, granted by March 25, 2022 at the latest. I did clear all ten stages once. I also forgot to highlight my nickname the first time, because of course I did. Classic me.

Final thoughts from 2026
Would I play Zombie Survival 2.0 again if PUBG brought it back in 2026? In a heartbeat. It was co-op chaos with real tactics: crowd control, headshot discipline, resource management, and a squad that had to actually talk. The event dates are history now, so do not chase those 2022 rewards, but the memories are still S-tier. My advice if a zombie mode ever returns: buy the stun grenades, watch the beeping zombies, share the healing chemicals, and never trust a quiet corner. GG, and do not get bitten.
